Windows will probably warn you. That is expected.
Swaperty is a recent application and our publisher certificate is on its way. Until a program has been downloaded by a large number of people, Windows shows a warning whatever the program contains. Here is how to continue.
- 01
If your browser blocks the file
In the downloads list, click the three dots next to the file and choose Keep. If a second message appears, pick Show more then Keep anyway.
- 02
If the blue “Windows protected your PC” screen appears
Click More info, the discreet line under the message. A Run anyway button then appears at the bottom: click it.
- 03
Check that it really is our file
The publisher should read Swaperty, and the SHA-256 fingerprint shown above on this page must match the file you downloaded. If it does not, do not open it and write to us.
How to check the fingerprint
Open PowerShell in your downloads folder and run:
Get-FileHash .\Swaperty-1.13.0.exe -Algorithm SHA256
Swaperty is being submitted to the Microsoft Store: once it is published there, this warning disappears entirely.
Mac and Linux: in preparation
The macOS and Linux builds are being finished. Leave your email and we will tell you the moment yours is ready.
Noted, thank you! We will write to you.
- 01
Run the file
If Windows SmartScreen appears, normal for new independent software, click More info → Run anyway.
- 02
Find the ⇄ icon
It lives in your system tray. Open its menu and enable Start with the system.
- 03
Try it
Type text on the wrong keyboard, select it, press WinSpace. Magic.
